Good writeup on Mahendra Kapoor. He was majorly used by music directors Ravi and O P Nayyar. In B R Films Mahendra Kapoor’s song was ‘must’. There are many romantic songs sung by Mahendra Kapoor, many of his gems are included in the article, but I would certainly like to add “Lakhon Hai Yahan Dilwale” from KISMAT. O P Nayyar have brilliantly synchronised MK voice and the GUITAR.

Thank you. Lakhon hai yahan dil waale is a lovely song but it is sort of teasing in nature, not completely romantic 🙂

Nice list. A top 10 list remains subjective, but is it possible to have some yardstick, e.g. solos only, or duets only? Also, some other songs being included would have been nice, e.g. Ari o shokh kaliyon from Jab Yaad Kisi Ki Aati Hai, Dil Lagakar Hum Yeh Samjhe (tandem song with Asha) from Zindagi aur Maut, Tum agar saath dene ka vaada karo from Humraaz, Phool ban jaaoonga shart yeh hai magar (with Lata) from Pyar Kiye Jaa, Tum Naacho ras barse from Sati Naari.
