Listen To Matargashti From The Movie Tamasha

Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar in 2011 broke all the records of the hits of that year. The movie was appreciated not only for the story, and the performances of Ranbir Kapoor, but it was also credited for the amazing soundtrack by A. R. Rahman. The movie had predominantly one male voice crooning for Kapoor and that was of Mohit Chauhan. The music was such that it touched the soul of every listener and till date listeners find themselves charmed every time they listen to the heart rending music of Rahman in Ali’s movie.

Imtiaz Ali and A. R. Rahman worked together in Highway as well the music of which again proved to be the greatest hit of the year 2014. No one can beat Rahman but the combination of Ali, Rahman, Kapoor and Chauhan in short the Rockstar combination is unavoidable. The interesting fact is that the same foursome is back in the song ‘Matargashti’ from the movie Tamasha which is yet to be released on 27^th Novemeber, 2015.

Starring the ever favourite pair of the audience Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, it is one of the much awaited films of Ali. Shot in the city of France, no doubt the song is fresh. The lyrics may not appeal to one and one might not find it as the best of Rahman. What stands out in the song is the voice of Chauhan which draws all the attention. There is nothing new in Kapoor and Padukone looking good together, but Kapoor’s mimicry of the legendary actor Dev Anand is worth noticing. Expecting the other songs to be more of Rahman’s forte, we will find out more on 27^th November, 2015. But as its first song from Tamasha ‘Matargashti’ is worth watching.
