Saeed Jaffrey Passes Away

It is sad to know the demise of the veteran actor Saeed Jaffrey at the age of 86 on 15th November, 2015. The actor was a well known name in Bollywood as well as in Western cinema.  Born in a Punjabi family on 8th January 1929, Jaffrey was known for his versatile roles in the world of cinema.

Jaffrey gained international fame by working in movies like Gandhi, The Man Who Would Be King, A Passage To India, etc. The actor has frequently appeared on the British small screen like Coronation Street, etc. His distinguished and notable career in Bollywod includes movies like Shatranj Ke Khiladi, Ram Teri Ganga Maili Ho Gayi, Dil, Ghar Ho To Aisa, Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai, only to name a few.

Jaffrey was the first Indian actor to tour Shakespeare. A gem of a person, Jaffrey shall always have a place in our hearts for all the great contributions he has made to entertain the audience.
