Hindi film industry has always been blessed with a variety of talent. If we specifically talk about the music industrywe have got singers and music directors who are versatile as well as for a specific genre; be it the yesteryears or the newer generation.

Today we are going to talk about a singer who is known for her different style of singing with overtones of sensuality. Whether it was intended or not she became synonymous with seductive and stylish way of singing. We are talking about none other than Alisha Chinai. When she entered the Hindi film music scenario the concept of playback singing was quite set in its own way and her voice definitely did not gel with the industry standard back then.

Alisha came across like a breath of fresh air providing and introducing the listeners to a very different and unique style of singing.

She came to be known as “Queen of Indipop” during the 90s as she recorded and released various albums with “Made in India” being the most popular. Nonetheless she has done considerable amount of work for the films as well with hits like “Kaante Nahi Kat Te” from Mr. India with Kishore Kumar and who can forget the award-winning hit “Kajra Re”, from Bunty Aur Babli.
