Beauty Queens of Bollywood – Juhi Chawla
A smile that reaches the eyes and fills the room with warmth. Eyes which emote a thousand expressions effortlessly. Beautiful to the core and at the same time giving off the vibes of the sweet girl next door. Yes, we’re talking about the effervescent beauty Juhi Chawla.
Juhi won the Miss India title in 1984. She represented India in the Miss Universe contest but did not win the coveted title, though she bagged the best costume award in the contest. She debuted in the film industry with the movie Sultanat in 1986 opposite Karan Kapoor but it was Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak that catapulted her career to greater heights. Her portrayal of the character Rashmi made her a household name instantly.
She had a steady career throughout and did various kinds of roles but her timing in comedy was appreciated more than anything. Juhi is one of those few actors who did not hesitate to give weird and comic expressions (She never looked weird though).
