Song Sketch

Go Go Golmaal – Something’s Spooky – Golmaal Again

By  |

The cars are flying, there’s coloured smoke everywhere, hundreds and thousands of people are gathered around some youngsters (ahem! Well some are young while others are lets say young – er) and there is foot –tapping music in the background. You guessed it right! I am talking about a typical Rohit Shetty film song.

Come Diwali we have a spooky shady saga from this director awaiting us. With his usual ensemble of actors Tushar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu; Oh! Did I miss someone? Umm.. no, because Ajay Devgn and Golmaal is synonymous. This time joining this crazy cast is Parineeti Chopra and Tabu. The trailers suggest that this time the story is about to get spooky as there is constant mention of a ghost.

Recently, they released the title track and it looks very promising. The song, as said earlier starts with the screeching cars, road surfing dudes and what not. The actors seem to enjoy to the beats of Dhol and are having a gala time. It looks almost as if they are in a carnival of some sorts and dancing their hearts out.

The vocals are provided by Aditi Singh Sharma and Brijesh Shandilya while the music is composed by Thaman S. I am sure this song will be played at all parties where youngsters want to have fun. The composer has maintained the Golmaal flavor in the song and one can easily identify it as being from Rohit Shetty’s film.

The choreography suits the song and in general the vibe of the movie itself. Look at the way Devgn starts doing his signature dance step of ‘Singham’ and then suddenly realizes that it is completely out of place and resumes the Golmaal dance step – simply hilarious.

The lyrics are penned by Kumaar. He has done a good job while writing this ‘tapori’ number and that too without going overboard with the typical words. It is a song of carefree people who just want to have fun.

Gham ko aye yaar ullu bana ke
Khulke tu muskurana
Chhod fikron ki ghanti bajana
Dil ki dholak bajaa na

Seeti honthon pe le ya na
Mauj masti ho rozana
Josh kitna hai dikhlana
Zoron zoron se tu chillana

Let us too forget our pain and problems and smile for a while and just scream at the top of our voice and tell everyone that we are happy and life is fun!

So this Diwali immerse yourself into fun, frolic and everything fabulous. Just get lost in this Rohit Shetty Confetti and enjoy!
