Hindustani Classical Singer Kishori Amonkar Passes Away at 84

One of the most prominent Hindustani Classical singer, Kishori Amonkar passed away on 3rd Apr, 2017. She won Padma Vibhushan in 2002. Besides her mother, Mogubai Kurdikar, she also learnt music from Anwar Hussain Khan of Agra gharana, Anjanibai Malpekar of Bhendi Bazar gharana, Sharadchandra Arolkar of Gwalior gharana and Goa’s famous musician Balkrishnabuwa Parwatkar.
