Neelam was undisputedly one of the most beautiful actresses from the 1980s. Born in Hong Kong in a Business family Neelam made her Bollywood debut in in the year 1984 with the movie Jawani opposite Karan Shah. She has primarily worked with Govinda during her early days in the film industry and the on-screen pair became very much popular and appreciated by the audience during the 80s and the early 90s. Together they featured in many hits including Ilzaam, Love 86, Khudgarz, Hatya and more.

She had a very positive persona and the girl next door image. She later went on to work with many successful actors including Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.

Apart from loving music, dance and acting ofcourse, Neelam had a passion for jewellery designing. Hence, after working for more than a decade as a successful actress, Neelam quit acting and decided to launch her own jewellery brand Neelam Jewels. It was heart breaking for her fans to see her retire too early from acting and creating a void, being a good performer throughout her acting career.

Neelam made her Bollywood debut with this movie. The superhit song is sung by Amit Kumar and Asha Bhosle. The song is composed by the legendary music director Rahul Dev Burman. 2. Aap Ke Aa Jane Se – Khudgarz (1987)

Aap Ke Aa Jane Se is one of the biggest hits of Neelam’s career. The superhit on-screen pair of Govinda and Neelam created magic on the video. 3. Kisko Tha Pata – Agneepath (1990)

Kisko Tha Pata is a hindi song from the 1990 Superhit Amitabh Bachchan starrer Agneepath. Sung by Alka Yagnik and the legendary S. P. 5. Main Pyar Ki Pujaran – Hatya (1988)

Another thriller featuring the hit pair of Govinda and Neelam, Hatya became a major hit. The song is sung by Mohammed Aziz and Sapna Mukherjee. Written by Indeevar the hit song is composed by Bappi Lahiri.

6. Tip Tip Baarish – Afsana Pyar Ka (1991)

The song Tip Tip Tip Barish is a hindi song from the 1991 movie Afsana Pyar Ka. Sung by Amit Kumar and Asha Bhosle, the sweet tune is composed by Bappi Lahiri and written by Anjaan. The film marked Neelam’s collaboration with Aamir Khan. The video can be viewed here.
