Song Trivia

The lines in the song “Kaisi Haseen Aaj Bahaaron Ki Raat Hai” picturised on Manoj Kumar were originally recorded in Talat Mahmood’s voice. Later, because of commercial pressure and Manoj Kumar’s insistence, Naushad had to dub those lines in the then voice of Manoj Kumar – Mahendra Kapoor. 

 Mohammed Rafi and Mahendra Kapoor had decided not to sing together , because they were good friends and not wanted to get into any controversy. This is the only song they sang together.
