Kaisi Paheli Zindagaani from Parineeta – Sunidhi sparkles while Rekha dazzels

Parineeta, the movie is engraved in the memory of the audience as it has given the Bollywood industry one of its greatest heroines till date. The movie was well appreciated and was loved by the audience then, back in 2005. The presentation of love story on screen  has undergone a lot of change from then on. Parineeta mostly featured romantic songs but what captured the eyes of the audience and established itself as an iconic number in the coming time was the song ”kaisi paheli zindagaani” in the voice of Sunidhi Chauhan. The presentation of a peppy number along with a posh night club in Kolkata helped the director to interrupt the romantic spirit in the story and bring in some freshness in the mood of the audience. Reminding of the jazz music, this song is skillfully sung by Sunidhi Chauhan who must have been a deliberate choice of the music director because of her distinct voice quality. Shantanu Moitra has used saxophone, guitar, piano, to bring in the effect of the old jazz music and the beautiful lyrics has been penned down by Swanand Kirkire. All together made the song one of those mesmerizing number which one will find difficult to resist. This is not the end. The icing on the cake is the actress which featured in this particular song. To steal the hearts of people who could have been a better choice than the gorgeous Rekha- the queen of hearts. Ravishing Rekha as the club singer and dancer, in her red evening gown helped the song becoming the smashing hit of its time. Appearing on screen after a break, people adored Rekha in the song. Her dancing moves and the music of the song impelled the audience to tap their feet, while watching the movie. Sunidhi Chauhan’s voice came out to be the best selection of singer for a actress like Rekha.

Shantunu Moitra’s amazing music, Swanand Kirkire’s beautiful lyrics along with Sunidhi and Rekha, rock the screen probably even today.
