Mellifluous Voice Is Her Identity – Anuradha Paudwal

She has in her credit to more than 1500 Hindi songs and has been the recipient of Filmfare award for best female playback singer `for five times. Anuradha Paudwal has contributed as a melodious singer in languages like Hindi, Marathi, Odiya, Kannada, Marwari, Tamil, Sanskrit, Punjabi, and many more.

The singer was born on 27th October and started her career as a playback singer in 1973 with the Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Abhimaan in which she sang a Sanskrit Shloka. She was further recognised as a great singer when she got her big break with the movie Hero in the year 1983 where she did her playback for the music director duo Laxmikant – Pyarelal. Her collaboration with the directors proved fruitful with movies like Meri Jung, Ram Lakhan, Nagina, Tezaab, etc.

Apart from directors like S. D. Burman, R. D. Burman, Jatin – Lalit, Rajesh Roshan, Bappi Lahiri, Jagjit Singh, Anup Jalota, Anu Malik, A. R. Rahman, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, etc, she teamed up with Gulshan Kumar and played a seminal role in bringing forth singers like Udit Narayan, Abhijeet , Sonu Nigam to the music director.

She attained her part of fame by crooning devotional songs for T- Series for quiet a long time. The singer was married to music director Arun Paudwal and groomed her career by singing mostly with Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Mohammed Aziz. On the occasion of her birthday we wish her good health and a wonderful career in the upcoming years.
