Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has been entertaining music lovers across the world and here is recognition by Oxford University for his contribution to music. He is the nephew of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and son of Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan and also the grandson of Qawwali singer Fateh Ali Khan. He is popular across South East Asia and sings regularly in movies and also appears in TV shows.

He also performed at the Holywell Music Room which is one of the university’s most historic venues. It is “the oldest music room of Europe, made in the 17th century, which was specially opened up for Khan sahab,” shared his PR representative. “The biggest composers and musicians of the UK & Europe of the last three centuries have made music in that room. It’s historically a very prestigious place.”
