He was one of the celebrated lyricists in Hindi cinema and has created magic through his words which still charm the listeners and are considered to be the soulful numbers of Bollywood. Shailendra Kesarilal was born on 30th August, 1923, popularly known as Shaliendra who made an immense contribution as a lyricist in the world of cinema during the era of 1949 to 1966.

    a good compilation, teesri kasam is a big disaster for Shailendra Ji. but it is a classic film like pyasa.
