Words with a twist – The Humma and the Tamma of it all!

Have you come across words which really don’t mean anything (or at least you don’t know the meaning of it) but you like it because it sounds nice? Oh yes, there must be plenty. And you probably must have guessed where this article is going. We’re talking about the Tamma Tammas and the Humma Hummas of Bollywood.

These words have a rhythm of their own, easy to remember and they remain in our memory for a very long time. It’d be a lyricist’s dream or a nightmare both, when she or he is presented with such an opportunity. Whatever the case is, the songs have made a mark on the listeners to all extent that some of them were remixed and used in a completely different context with a twist of style to it.

Agreed that some of these words might have a meaning or denote an expression in some or the other language, but let’s keep the technicalities aside for a little while and just enjoy such songs.
