He has 141 movies to his credit as an actor and still is a popular name in Hindi cinema. Vinod Khanna was born on 6th October 1946 in Peshawar and with his versatile acting, made valuable contribution to the world of cinema.

Looking back, Khanna made his debut as a villain in the movie Man Ka Meet (1968). Purab Paschim, Aan Milo Sajna, etc are some movies where he gained name as a supporting actor or as a villain. Hum Tum Aur Woh (1971) was his first movie as a lead and then came Mere Apne in 1971, Achanak in 1973. His other hits include Farebi, Qaid, Inkaar. His next movie Qurbani proved to a great blockbuster at the box office.

Chor Sipahee, Hera Pheri, Khoon Pasina, Amar Akbar Anthony, Muqqaddar Ka Sikandar, Haath Ki Safai, are only some of hits among many. From the era of late 90s to present day audience has witnessed the great actor in various character roles in movies like Deewanapan (2002), Wanted (2009), Dabang (2010). Khanna was appreciated for his role in the Pakistani movie Godfather in the year 2007.

Khanna is a follower of the spiritual teacher Osho and has shown active participation in the field of politics. He is the sitting MP from Gurdaspur. Khanna has two sons Rahul and Akshaye Khanna who also are actors in Bollywood. On the occasion of his birthday Songpedia wishes him good health and all success in the years to come.

    Surprised ! No mention of Vinod Khanna’s TWO greatest HITS. Raj Khosla’s super musical “Mera Gaon Mera Desh” 1971 and Madan Sinha’s top musical “Imtihan” 1974.
