His voice till date sounds fresh and young and he reigned the era of 90s and 2000s by crooning for top actors like Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan , etc. He is the all time favourite Udit Narayan who is considered as one of the greatest playback singer.

Udit Narayan was born on 1st December 1955 in Nepal. Beginning with a career at a radio in Nepal, the singer’s breakthrough came with the movie Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak where he crooned for Aamir Khan. The movie won him his first Filmfare award. He sang with Alka Yagnik with whom he went on singing numerous songs in the time to come.

His clear voice established the singer as one of the first choices of the music director. Rajesh Roshan, Laxmikant – Pyarelal, Nadeem – Shravan, Jatin – Lalit, A. R. Rahman, Uttam Singh, Pritam Chakraborty, Ram Sampath , are only few names in the long list of the directors the singer worked with.

Udit Narayan, is a big Nepali singer and has to his credit of singing in Indian languages like Bhojpuri, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Asamese, Maithili, Bengali, and many more. He is a singer who with his euphonious voice sang 25000 songs in 34 languages.

Udit Narayan is married to Deepa Narayan who too is a Nepali singer and the couple has a son Aditya Narayan who is actor, singer and a presenter in reality shows. The great artist in Udit Narayan and because of his immense contribution as a singer to the music world he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in the year 2009.

He is the one of the pioneers of playback singing and serves as a torch bearer to many young singers. Known for his humble behaviour in public, Udit Narayan has won hearts of listeners across generations.
