Rakhee Gulzar was born on 15th August, 1947 at Ranaghat in Nadia District, West Bengal. She is one actress whose name has been nominated in the Filmfare award for 16 times, 8 for best actress, and 8 times for supporting actress category. The actress started her career in films with Bengali movies and her debut in the Bollywood happened in the year 1970 with Rajshri Productions’ Jeevan Mrityu opposite to Dharmendra. Rakhee is noted for doing hit films with superstars like Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor.
Rakhee is married to the poet, lyricist and director Gulzar and the couple have a daughter, Meghna Gulzar who too is a director in the Bollywood. Raakhee celebrates her 68th birthday on this Independence Day and we wish her all the good health in her upcoming years.
