Sadhana was born on 2nd September, 1941 in a Sindhi family. From her early days of childhood she nurtured the wish to attain fame as an actress. Love in Shimla in 1960 marks as the debut movie of the actress which paved the way of success for the star. The hair cut became the style statement of the time period and the cut was named after the actress. It became famous as the ‘Sadhana cut’.

After Love in Shimla, Sadhana gave super hits like Parakh, Hum Dono. Her next ventures Who Kaun Thi, Mera Saaya, Waqt proved to be blockbusters at the box office. Her later works include Intequam, Ek Phool Do Mali, Aap Aaye Bahaar Aayee.
