Untrained Yet Extremely Soulful Voice – Lucky Ali
After a long break this voice was again heard in recent Imtiaz Ali’s movie Tamasha (2015). His is a voice which is euphonious and takes the mind to the world of serenity. Lucky Ali is renowned for his distinct voice in the industry. An untrained singer, embarked his singing journey with private albums and soon became an established singer in Bollywood.
Lucky Ali was born to Mahelaka and the legendary Bollywood comedian Mehmood. After an isolated childhood Lucky Ali came up with his first musical album Sunoh in the year 1996. This album brought him the instant attention and fame and also won him Screen Awards for Best Pop Male Vocalist category and also won the Channel V Viewer’s Choice award. His albums still count as favourite among the listeners when it comes to Indian pop music.
Among the long list of hit and soulful songs in Bollywood, Rakesh Roshan’s Kaho Naa Pyar Hai (2000) is the most notable one. Songs like ‘Ek Pal Ka Jeena’ and ‘Kyu Chalti Hai Pawan’ made him the favourite among the music lovers. The singer is noted for his acting skills as well in movies like Sur – The Melody of Life (2002), Kaante (2002), etc. Indian music industry is blessed with a soulful singer like Lucky Ali and to all the music lovers here sharing some of the ever melodious tracks of the singer.
