Irrfan Khan: The Versatile Genius

It’s really difficult to believe that this versatile actor is no more. It is hard to digest the fact that we would not be able to see this chameleon of an actor perform magic in front of us anymore. Irrfan.. It would be an understatement if we say that we’ll miss you, because the void that you’ve left behind would never be filled again… Ever.

Irrfan Khan or just Irrfan (like he wanted everybody to address him) has always been a household name; be it theatre, television or cinema. He chose characters which made an impact on the viewer’s mind and became a memory. Alas that’s how we’re going to remember him now.. A memory.

It took me a lot of time and guts to write down this particular article. I kept on looking at the page which was blank barring just one word Irrfan. And the more I looked at it the more it pushed me away from it. How could I write about this man who redefined acting with his effortless performance. An actor who left you wanting more, craving more. An actor who left too soon.
